NCQSA-HI is a new structure of MOH with technical – professional autonomy in its decision – making process, established on 16/09/2005.

The tasks and the objectives.

• NCQSA-HI supports the Ministry of Health on the implementation of the national long term health strategy in the following fields:
• Continues Quality Improvement in Albania Health System.
• Training and education of the healthcare professionals and other partners to improve the quality and build up a new mentality in the health system.
• The periodic re-licensing of health care personnel, in both public and private sectors.
• Designing, disseminating and monitoring the clinical guidelines of the best practices.
• The Accreditation of public and private Albanian Health Institutions.
• To enhance therapeutic education of the patients and their rights empowerment in order to become the main actor in the health care system.
• The risk management, and the minimization of the medical errors: promoting safety of patients and health care professionals.
• The assessment and selection of the existing and new Health Technologies - Evidence Based Medicine (EBM) and the best clinical health care practice.
• Connecting and coordinating the technical programs of the MOH in the fields above with interested, national and international partners, institutions, organizations and quality networks.
